Our Core Beliefs

We believe that Jesus is God and is eternal. Jesus came from Heaven to live on the earth, as fully God and fully as a human. He was born of a virgin, he lived a sinless life, he died on the cross to pay for our sins — and he resurrected to redeem all who are willing to receive Him as their Lord and Savior.

We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and that no one comes to Heavenly Father except through Jesus as Lord.

We believe in one eternal God, Who is the Creator of all that is seen and all that is unseen. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are the same Being — with the same nature and character, while possessing some distinctions — they exist as ONE in perfect unity.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, and He was sent to be our ever-present Comforter, Teacher, Advocate, and Guide in our journey, while at the same time He also convicts us of sin, empowers us to righteousness, and reminds us of either a final judgment or great reward.

We believe that all Christians can be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers believers with spiritual gifts such as prophecy and speaking in tongues for the service of the church and world, as He also fills us personally with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness and self-control.

We believe that salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned — but must be received by faith. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God offers us a restored relationship with Himself, both now and through eternity.

We believe that God welcomes those who humbly come to Him, in repentance, personally asking for forgiveness (and so receiving it) as they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is trustworthy, accurate, authoritative, and completely relevant to our daily lives today (and forever). We believe that all Scripture is inspired by God and is unchangeable in nature. It is reliable for correcting and instructing every person in the Ways of True Life and Abundant Life.

We believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places (realms). We believe in the bodily return of Christ Jesus, the King. We believe King Jesus will judge every person according to the decisions he or she has made during life on earth — this will result in some going with King Jesus into the great rewards of Everlasting Life in Heaven, while others who chose to deny Jesus as Lord have chosen to be eternally separated from God.

We believe that God did not originally create Hell for any person, but as a place of separation and judgement for Satan and the demons. Because God gives every human an eternal spirit and the free-will choice of choosing their own path, some people choose for themselves to be separated from God and His eternal realm of Heaven. For the believer who has put their faith in Jesus as personal Savior, they have access to Heaven, by the power of the Holy Spirit, even now in the present age.

We believe in the universal community of believers, the spiritual family of God — that spans the globe and also includes the great cloud of witnesses. This universal community of believers in Jesus as Lord makes up the Church, which consists of many smaller local churches throughout the world.

The Church is the spiritual family of God — the sons and daughters of God, re-born into this greater family through salvation. We believe that every Christian should demonstrate fruit of unconditional love, and will demonstrate their faith by speaking openly about Jesus as personal Lord, including sharing the full Gospel of salvation through Christ. We believe that the Church is called to make disciples of all nations and people groups, according to the commands of Jesus.
